Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer with a passion for development and a background in the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire). This is a part-time contract position, offering 10-20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an academic library environment and possess a solid understanding of developing and maintaining web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel, Livewire, Tailwind CSS, and Alpine.js.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and develop new features and functionalities.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of web applications.
- Address and resolve any issues or bugs in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
- Collaborate with librarians and other stakeholders to understand and address their needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire).
- Experience working in a library setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
